This Child sexual exploitation awareness training is open to anyone who wants to understand the issues of child sexual exploitation and how we can prevent children and young people from becoming victims of exploitation and abuse.

 

The Government’s Tackling child sexual abuse strategy (Feb 2021) emphasises the need for everyone to play their part “…across all agencies, all sectors, charities, communities, technology companies and society more widely”.

COST:         £60 per person, including the CPD Certificate & Resource pack.

·       To understand the definition of child sexual exploitation 

·       To understand how grooming happens both in person and online.

·       To be able to spot signs and indicators of sexual abuse and exploitation.

·       To understand different vulnerabilities of children and young people

·       To gain knowledge of contact sexual abuse and none contact sexual abuse 

·       To understand what stops a child or young person from telling someone

·       To understand the importance of appropriate words and language 

·       To know where and how to report issues of concern.

·       To understand what safeguarding means in the community

   ASSSESSMENT

To get the Nationally recognised Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certificate in Child sexual exploitation awareness you will need to attend both sessions and complete a short Knowledge test.
