Bail Me Out

By

Some of Lancashire’s celebrities and top businessmen and women have been ‘locked up’ to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice.

Officials from the Chorley hospice said 'this is one of their most fun money-raising challenges of the year.'

18 individuals were put behind bars on Friday 5th July for a range of crimes such as indecent exposure at a networking event and uncontrollable snacking.

The only way they could get released was to raise £999 bail money for the hospice in an event called 'Bail Me Out'.

Lancashire Police made the arrests and the criminals were held in the cells at Leyland’s former Victorian courthouse, La Corte Italian Restaurant.

Inmates included Chorley’s Jane Campbell and Evie Skentelbery from Fresh Perspective Resourcing.

Before the event Evie and Jane said: “We are very excited to be taking part in Derian House’s ‘Bail me out’ challenge on Friday.

"It is for a great cause and it is going to be lots of fun!

"We are a little bit nervous about being locked up and really we hope that we can raise enough money to be let out of our cell!”

They have fallen short of their target so need as much support as possible! Please click the link to the Just Giving page to sponsor them for their release!
