Business Circle (Lancashire) in Preston, Lancashire

We recognise that business owners face complex challenges and obstacles. Quite often, they don’t know where to turn. That’s why we created Business Circle. Our quarterly breakfast events give business owners the chance to speak and share solutions with others in similar situations.

Established in Lancashire, Business Circle events often attract business owners from further afield including Greater Manchester and Yorkshire.

What to expect at a Business Circle event

Our events all have a relevant and current theme chosen in advance. Expertly facilitated by Hamish Hamilton — who has considerable experience in the peer-to-peer learning space — the sessions can vary in how they're presented, with some having expert panels and others being more collaborative with attendee participation.

Questions are often encouraged throughout events and we always make time for an interactive Q&A session at the end.

We can also support you with creating awareness for your brand or business by offering you the opportunity to present as an expert speaker at a future Business Circle event.

All Business Circle events are invite-only because we want to make sure that attendees feel comfortable in their surroundings and are able to talk openly without fear of disclosure elsewhere. If you're a business owner or senior decision maker interested in joining Business Circle, you can register by completing our contact form on our website.

Our events are organised and run by experienced corporate and insolvency lawyer, Nikki Whittle. She works with a variety of clients — from SMEs to large corporates — and regularly handles matters relating to owner-managed and family businesses throughout their life-cycles, from the start-up stage right through to eventual exit via trade or private equity sale, management buy-out or sale to an employee ownership trust. She also advises business owners on scaling up by natural expansion, acquisition or private equity investment and assists investors and shareholders to properly protect their investments by preparing and advising on the appropriate agreements that need to be in place — from the pre-investment stage all the way through to handling investor exits.

Recognised as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by The Legal 500, Nikki’s accolades include winning the ‘Young Lawyer of the Year’ award at the Insider Young Professionals Awards in 2018 and being named one of the region’s top 25 female entrepreneurs and innovators to watch in 2021 by Lancashire Business View.
