An Audience with a Foster Carer - Online Event in Preston, Lancashire

Emma is a single foster carer with Caritas Care and she thought long and hard before making her decision to foster. Like many people, Emma encountered the ‘myths about fostering’ and as a result, she waited a long time before she picked up the phone to take that first step. Emma had reached a point in her life and thought, ‘I might as well go for it!’ There never seemed to be ‘a right time’; so she decided that ‘now was a good time’.

Emma has agreed to share her fostering story at this one off event.  She will talk about her decision to foster and the significance this decision has made on her life, but more importantly, the impact it has made on the lives of children in her care.
