Local Producer Champions on a mission to make lockdown Valentine's Night In extra special

Lake District produce online shop and delivery service A Days' Walk has launched a package designed to put the romance back into lockdown Valentine's Night and support local producers suffering from the closure of the hospitality sector at the same time.

Its "Lakeland Valentine's Night In, in a Box" features everything a conscientious Valentine needs to make a three course meal for two special and all ingredients come from Cumbrian producers. From Morecambe Bay Shrimps to Lake District rump steak, artisan cheese from Appleby to  chocolate orange ice cream made exclusively for A Day's Walk by Wraysholme Creamery, the package is designed to help customers remember Valentine's Day in 2021 for all the right reasons.

A Day's Walk founder Colin Sneath says demand for its unique offering is already high. "Our "Lakeland Valentine's Night In in a box" went live on our online shop www.adayswalk.co.uk last night and we woke up this morning to a whole bunch of orders that had come in during the night. It's a great opportunity for couples determined to make lockdown Valentine's Night special but also a lifeline for local producers, many of whom would be supplying their fayre to restaurants at this time of year ."

A Day's Walk delivers direct to homes throughout Cumbria and nationally via courier. Every one of the 250 plus items it stocks comes from a producer, grower or business within a day's walk of the heart of the Lake District.
