Come and smell the coffee; with Penningtons of Kendal

Last week saw our first ever 'Introduction to Cumbriashare' event which was co-hosted with ourselves, and Gina from Penningtons Tea & Coffee in Kendal. 14 businesses came along (in the glorious sunshine) to Kendal Business Park and, after a quick brew and conversations, were given an introductory talk about what Cumbrisahre is, what it plans to do, and how it plans to do it.

There was such positivity from everyone, saying how much they agree with the philosophy of the 'bring everyone together' process and they people also loved the fact that we will introduce businesses to each other, and then step aside and let you continue the relationship. Don't forget, we don't sell, we only share. The conversations between businesses started straight away, which is exactly what we want to see happen.

We then moved to the roasting bay where Gina stepped up to the plate and her love and enthusiasm for all things coffee shone through. The explanation about the 'magic' that happens during the various roasting processes, through to the personalised packaging and branding for their products made the talk a thoroughly enjoyable, and informative one.

Thank must go to the Penningtons staff (all family members) for their hospitality and also to Victoria Sedgwick (cumbriashare.co.uk/businesses/victoria-sedgwick-commercial-photographer) for taking some photos of the day.

Everyone went back to work happy and informed, some even took some coffee home with them (I did!!!)
