Many people ask, what are the benefits of business networking?

I think, it’s really hard to sum up in one simple answer.

I guess to some extent it depends on what you are looking for or expecting if anything, but if networking isn’t on your radar, then that question is harder to answer.

In my opinion networking can have a multitude of benefits and not all of them equate to money! Which some people will balk at if they are running a business and need to have an income.

But I think the intangible benefits can outweigh the tangible, especially if you are a sole trader or solopreneur. By that, I mean the support you can get from building relationships with fellow business owners is invaluable. They can be your go-to guys to use as a sounding board if you have a dilemma, they can share with you their mistakes, so you don’t repeat them but most importantly they’re in or have been in a similar position to you and they just ‘get it’.

How can you measure that? Again, it’s really hard to sum up in one simple answer.

But when your business starts to develop in ways you hadn’t even thought of when you first started out, then you will know the value.

This, to me is just one of the benefits of business networking. So, if you are thinking business networking isn’t for you, maybe think again. The people you meet could be the inspiration and support you need to take your business to the next level and you will all grow together.
