Hey... It's your friendly-neighbourhood Security team here! What's the news? Well.. If you're an Instagram user (or your friends and family are), then you need to know about the latest update on the platform.

In 'Activity' in the Friends tab, it allows you to see all the things you like... in a slightly more detail and highlighted way! just keep in mind that what you thought was funny and you 'lliked' today may not be the same in future(!)

Location Maps are coming (not yet in the UK), similar to what "SnapMaps" was where you can see others and where they are. The privacy and safety concerns here are very real.
 
To check the current settings, go into the Device Permissions in settings and see what's going on.

This is important for all applications
There's no way of knowing what systems you use, only you know this.  So it's important that you take care when using systems that might betray your safety or security.  This is especially important when thinking of social media accounts that our loved ones might use.

Please go take a look at your other platforms and see what security settings are enabled (or disabled) and update them (this includes enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)).
