There's a reason that October 1st is international 'Coffee Day'! It's the first day of Cyber Awareness Month!!

What is 'Cyber Awareness Month'?
It's not just about celebrating companies who operate in this space (although a nice gift wouldn't go amiss! 🙂).  It's actually a global, annual event held in October to promote cybersecurity education and the importance of online safety and responsible digital practices for individuals and organizations.

The theme for 2025 is "Stay Safe Online," focusing on simple, everyday actions like using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, recognizing scams, and keeping software updated to protect against cyber threats.

In October I'll be sharing a LOT of information on this topic which you are welcome to use and take into your organisations or share with your friends, family and clients.

Importantly the advice I'll be providing is relevant to you PERSONALLY.  We all have a social footprint, and we are all online (even if we don't like it)... that's why this month is so important.

Each day I'll be sharing practical advice and guidance and some interesting insights and 'Did you know' messages...  So I hope you'll enjoy the posts and if anything resonates, please let me know. DID YOU KNOW...
There are THOUSANDS of Social media platforms in existence! How many can you name (if you get beyond 5, you're doing well).  There are actually 15 which would be classed as 'Mainstream', but there are are thousands more that people use on a day-to-day basis.  It's not possible to review all these sites to ensure they're secure, so we need to build better safety habits.  

Think of it this way... There are thousands of roads in the world, and each country has different rules - but you know the basics to keep you safe. That's what I'm going to share in Cyber Awareness Month, so you can navigate these platforms and be safe - no matter where in the world you are!
