How to get customer feedback

By
One of the best ways to grow a business is to get feedback from your customers - but many businesses get this wrong!

There are only 4 questions you need to ask:

1. What do we do well? - this is the first question as it makes them think positively about you!
2. What could we do better? - aimed at getting constructive criticism so you can make improvements that your customers want (the replies can be a blow to your ego though!)
3. What else could we do? - often gives you ideas for new products, services or collaborations
4. We want to help more customers like you. Would you be happy to recommend us? - reminds customers that you want referrals and explains what type of customer you want. Plus, if they say no, you can always follow them up and ask why!

But there is a secret to customer feedback - it's a conversation so you need to show that you value their feedback by listening, making changes and then telling them about the changes you have made - this encourages more feedback and ultimately more business growth!

This is an example of the type of advice available in BuBul - our award winning business advice software. It gives SMEs over 70 business advisers for just £20 a month (plus VAT) and we offer accountants their own version so they can provide their clients with a broad range of advice on all business areas - contact nigel@bubulexpert.com for more info!
