Yorkshire Businesses Invited To Shape The Future Of Local Supply Chains At Yorkshare Day

By
Yorkshare Day returns to Harrogate on 31 July, bringing together businesses, charities and public sector organisations to celebrate Yorkshire and explore the opportunities emerging from the UK's changing procurement landscape.

Businesses from across Yorkshire are being invited to attend Yorkshare Day 2026 at the Pavilions of Harrogate on 31 July, a unique event focused on helping organisations build stronger local connections, create sustainable supply chains and access new opportunities through collaboration.

Organised by GB Shared, the UK's sustainable marketplace and supply chain register, Yorkshare Day will bring together forward-thinking organisations from across the county to celebrate Yorkshire's strengths while looking ahead to the future of procurement, sustainability and regional growth.

Founder Lisa Edge believes Yorkshire is perfectly positioned to benefit from the increasing focus on local procurement, social value and sustainable business practices.

"Yorkshire has always been a county built on innovation, resilience and community. Yorkshare Day is about celebrating those strengths while helping organisations understand how they can benefit from the huge opportunities emerging through sustainable and local supply chains.  We want to keep more money, opportunities and impact within Yorkshire while connecting the county to a growing national network of sustainable businesses."

Yorkshare forms part of the wider GB Shared movement, which is creating a network of county-based digital ecosystems designed to help organisations share opportunities, strengthen local supply chains and increase regional economic impact. The event will provide attendees with opportunities to:

  • Build new business connections
  • Learn about sustainable procurement and supply chains
  • Understand emerging procurement opportunities
  • Discover collaboration opportunities across Yorkshire
  • Explore how local purchasing can strengthen communities
  • Celebrate Yorkshire's business community and achievements

With increasing emphasis on sustainability, social value and SME participation in supply chains, organisers believe the event comes at a critical time for businesses looking to remain competitive and visible within their local economy.

Held at the prestigious Pavilions of Harrogate, the event aims to unite businesses, charities, social enterprises, education providers and public sector organisations around a shared vision of a stronger, more connected Yorkshire economy.
