From our beginnings on Richmond Terrace in Blackburn to a presence of six offices and 140 staff across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, Farleys remain a local firm for Lancashire individuals and businesses, and have been supporting the Lancashire community over 60 years.
While the legal landscape has changed considerably in this time, our mantra has remained the same, priding ourselves on providing legal expertise with a down to earth approach. We believe that every legal case, no matter how complex, can be broken down into familiar language that all can understand.
Almost all businesses will need to seek legal advice at some point. Whether taking on new commercial premises, dealing with employee matters, recovering debts or selling the business on to the next generation or new owners, seeking legal advice is part and parcel of running a growing business. But obtaining legal advice doesn’t have to be a ‘necessary evil’ as Partner Ian Liddle explains.
“As a general rule of thumb, most solicitors are able to advise their legalities of their client’s situation. What really makes a difference is the people you are dealing with and the relationship that you go on to develop. Our aim is to be seen as part of our clients’ team; there at the end of the phone whenever they need us and able to provide advice on their plans in advance; making sure they keep on the right track.
“Once clients come to us, we tend to find that they don’t go elsewhere. For us, looking after clients goes beyond providing good legal advice; we really try to add value through our personal service; learning how clients work and tailoring the way we work around them.
“The services offered by Farleys as a whole are progressive and our friendly approach is far from the stuffy stereotype of solicitors of the past.”
