What a privilege!

I am excited to add Personalised Poems to my businesses on Lancashare :)

Many people have trusted me to put their words into unique poems for loved ones for the last five years, raising valuable funds for CRUSE Bereavement charity.

Now, with the time to write even more, I am delighted to be able to expand on what I can provide.

Recently I had an unusual request for a poem; it was from a 98 year old lady to her daughter and I have to admit, it made me cry writing it!

I send all poems in image form for printing, so they look pretty etc. in fact with this one, I added a photo of four generations, which was lovely.

Here is the text of it;

"My daughter, where can I begin? It’s hard to express how I feel,

To suitably tell you how treasured you are, when I know you don’t like a big deal.

You have cared for me as I matured with time, helped my life be happy and full.

We may not always agree all the time, but with you no moment is dull.

Always so selfless, so humble, so kind, our bond is so very strong.

There for me no matter what time, making sure I feel I belong.

I have some regrets, been a challenge at times, restless nights to name but a few.

But you helped me through and gave me love, seemed to know just what to do.

I am proud to call you my daughter, no-one could ask for anything more.

It is time now for you to let me go, I will be fine in the care home I’m sure.

With your wonderful husband by your side, a caring daughter who dotes on you too,

And your gorgeous grandson who needs your time, you know it’s the right thing to do.

Now is your time my darling one, to live your life as your own.

Go on holiday and for lovely walks, receive all the love you have shown.

I will be right there, thinking of you every day, as I know you will be too,

I know you will visit whenever you can, but know I’ll be fine without you.

This new stage in our lives is for the best, in time you’ll see it will be.

Thank you, my daughter, I owe you so much, for all you have done for me."

I am sure you will agree, it is quite an honour to be able to put peoples words into a poem so they can say it perfectly to their loved ones. I am looking forward to the next challenge :)

Sharing our skills and abilities is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
