Facts & figures:

·57% of tyres being driven on Britain’s roads are underinflated

·The UK’s motorists could be wasting £600 million pounds in unnecessary fuel bills due to underinflated tyres

·Over 27% of tyres are already illegal when they are replaced

·Over 70% of tyres are below 2mm when replaced – with 0.4mm of tread depth before becoming illegal, which is half the thickness of a bank card

·On average, 1000 casualties are caused on Britain’s roads as a result of tyre-related incidents; nearly 200 of those are killed or seriously injured.
