THE WELLBEING FARM, LANCASHIRE TO ATTEND COP26

The Wellbeing Farm wedding and events venue in Edgworth, Lancashire has been selected to showcase its sustainability work at a special hospitality fringe event at COP 26 in Glasgow.

Hospitality representatives will join MPs, Scottish Parliamentarians, sustainability experts and suppliers to celebrate the great strides the hospitality industry is making on its sustainability journey.

The Wellbeing Farm will be representing small scale independent hospitality businesses alongside global operators including IHG Hotels & Resorts, BrewDog, Burger King and Compass.

Celia Gaze, Managing Director, The Wellbeing Farm stated “We are delighted to have been selected. Since we opened in 2013, sustainability has been a priority and we have even documented our work in a dedicated website. We are pleased to be able to represent small independent hospitality venues (and the wedding industry) to showcase what they can do to help work towards achieving sustainable development goals and reducing their carbon footprint”.

“I feel that having a smaller hospitality business present sends out a message that no matter how big you are, everyone has a role to play.... Sustainability is not just about massive hospitality chains and brands making changes, but also smaller independent businesses too”.
