Chat with our Digital Marketing Apprentice, Olivia! With Olivia’s L3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Burnley College coming to an end, we thought it would be a great idea to chat with her about her experience.
Q – What made you decide to pursue an apprenticeship in Digital Marketing?A –
An apprenticeship in Digital Marketing could provide me with on-the-job learning and practice, as well as exposure to experienced marketers. In contrast to a university degree in marketing, as a Digital Marketing Apprentice, I would constantly practice my learning in real-life work situations, refining skills and knowledge along the way. The future of marketing is digital. Moreover, as different platforms and technologies are introduced, the digital world is constantly evolving. Having the chance to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing field was important to me.
Q – Why did you choose a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at Root Fifty-Two?A –
It was obvious after my interview that I would enjoy working at Root Fifty-Two! The team seemed very friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated the fact that they are a local Burnley business supporting other Burnley businesses in the area. It was a complete joy to get the job and work with Harriet, the Digital Lead, and the rest of the team.
Q – What have you enjoyed the most about being a Digital Marketing Apprentice at Root-Fifty Two? A-
The best part of my job is being able to use my creativity to come up with new ideas for our clients. It’s rewarding to see those ideas being shared and ultimately helping our clients with brand awareness and visibility.
Building strong relationships with customers is an integral part of marketing, and the team at Root Fifty-Two are committed to building strong, long-lasting relationships with all clients– in effect, becoming extended members of your own team!
Q -How likely are you to recommend an apprenticeship at Root Fifty-two to someone else and why? A –
Highly likely! The team at Root-Fifty Two are a bunch of extremely friendly, and talented creatives, who have really supported me throughout my apprenticeship journey.
Above all, r52 really cares about building powerful relationships, whether that be with their clients or the wider team.
With the digital team continuing to expand, and r52’s 15th birthday coming up in May, it’s also a very exciting time to be a part of the r52 team!
Q – What’s next for you in your Digital Marketing career? A –
In conclusion, my long-term goal is to hopefully secure a permanent position at r52.
