Karen Tems, a former franchise owner of the Business Network has set her sights on an independent venture with the launch of her own networking group, The Business Network Central & East Lancashire.
With over 18 years in the industry, the move into business ownership was a natural next step for the renowned event host and business facilitator.
Karen will continue to operate the new member-only networking group in the same format as her previous role but having autonomy over the business model will allow Karen to grow the group and support its members in new ways, adding more value to their membership.
A significant investment in a new online, interactive portal will also provide members with a new platform to engage with and build on business relationships, potential connections and securing increased revenue, sales and leads.
Commenting on her bold move during a pandemic, Karen said: “Whilst the timing may not be ideal with the forced closure of hospitality, it has certainly given me the time to reflect and review the next stage of my career and I am feeling very buoyant about the future with the launch my new business networking group.
“I am lucky to have a team of dedicated, passionate businesses and business owners in my circle who all share my vision and ethos; and their support of my new venture has been very humbling. We will be bringing all the same great benefits to The Business Network Central & East Lancashire but with much more added value and, thanks to lessons learnt during lockdown, we will also be maintaining monthly drop-in events and networking events online too so there really will be a membership package to suit everyone.”
When hospitality is allowed to re-open once more, The Business Network Central & East Lancashire will resume lunchtime events for members where they can meet to enjoy a two course lunch, listen to a keynote speaker and to network with peers to grow their respective businesses through the connections and referrals made.
