Bolton-based training provider, Alliance Learning, has achieved impressive results in its most recent Ofsted inspection.

The June 2024 report states that the training provider has achieved a ‘Good’ rating'.

Dr Gill Waugh, Alliance Learning Chief Executive Officer who led on the inspection,said: “This is a huge achievement for us at Alliance Learning.
“The grade is testament to the relationship between Alliance Learning and employers and the contribution and commitment of our apprentices. “I would like to thank all colleagues for their hard work and determination in ensuring this improvement in our grade.”

All areas receive a ‘Good’ grade, specifically noting the quality of education and the effectiveness of safeguarding.

The main findings are:
- Apprentices feel safe and know how to report any concerns they may have. They learn in an inclusive and respectful environment
- Tutors are subject experts with significant industry experience. They use their expertise to help apprentices understand how theory relates to practice
- 'Leaders have a clear vision for the curriculums they offer, using their expertise in engineering and business management to provide apprentices with the training they need to be successful at work. Leaders design ambitious curriculums that meet the needs of employers, apprentices and their industry sectors
- Apprentices enjoy their apprenticeships
- Apprentices’ attendance at work and training is high. They become valued employees, regarded as integral to the future success of their organisations
- Apprentices benefit from well-equipped workshops, tools and resources that replicate those used in industry
- Apprentices use their knowledge and skills in the workplace with increasing competence, confidence and independence

Caroline Cowburn, Chair of the Alliance Learning board, said:
