We currently have 55 live vacancies across 38 businesses, ranging from Business Administration, Customer Service and Engineering, covering areas across Greater Manchester including (Bolton, Horwich, Westhoughton, Rochdale, Horwich, Bury, Heywood, Manchester, Wigan & Trafford).
Below are several questions we've answered regarding the Apprenticeship scheme.
What are the first steps to securing an Apprenticeship?
After registering your interest through our website, we will invite you to attend one of our IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) sessions at Alliance Learning based in Horwich, Bolton.
This stage will help you seek advice towards writing or improving their CV, gain vital interview techniques and find out the Apprenticeship opportunities that apply to you.
How old do I need to be to apply for an Apprenticeship?
16 or over
An Apprenticeship is a training programme for those aged 16 or over, combining hands-on paid work with the chance to learn and earn qualifications. In theory, anyone can become an apprentice, as there is no maximum age limit for applying. Whether you have experience from work, education or neither, Alliance Learning will help you find the right position to suit your needs.
Is it too late to apply for Apprenticeships in August?
Our Engineering intake is fast approaching, this happens every year in September. Due to the high volume of applications, the last date to apply is Friday 27th August.
However, it is never too late to apply for an Apprenticeship in Business Admin or Customer Service, we have over 51 live vacancies across our website and still have plenty of time to view the latest options.
Will I be able to earn a salary?
Earn while you learn! The minimum wage for Apprentices under the age of 19 or in the first year of their Apprenticeship is £4.30 per hour. All other apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum Wage or their age. This is a national guideline, but many employers pay above the Apprentice minimum wage. On average, a starting wage for an Apprentice is £180 per week, and this may increase as the Apprentice progresses through their Apprenticeship.
Overall, Apprenticeships have become a highly reliable and brilliant way to build your skills and gain a nationally recognized qualification. Apprenticeships are still going strong with employers to help current staff members progress within their careers.
