The rankings for the Legal 500 2020 have been released and we are pleased to announce that Farleys has once again received tier 1 rankings and 14 lawyers have been recognised within their individual fields of work.
The Legal 500 has been operating for over 30 years as an independent directory of recommended law firms and lawyers across the world. Covering over 150 jurisdictions, the Legal 500 ranks practice area teams using strict criteria.
This year, Farleys’ crime team has been ranked in tier 1 for both Fraud and General Crime with head of department Paul Schofield being ranked as a Leading Individual. Alongside this, Associate Partner Bridgette Hibbert has been ranked as a Next Generation Partner. Partner Jonathan Taylor and Associate Partner Laura Walmsley have also been included as Recommended Lawyers.
Our family team have been recognised in tier 2 with head of department Antonia Love achieving a recommended lawyer ranking. One comment received said; “The people I worked with at Farleys were professional and knowledgeable and helped me get the best outcome for my case – communication was excellent.”
We have achieved tier 3 rankings for five of our teams; Corporate and Commercial: Elsewhere in the North West, Commercial Litigation: Elsewhere in the North West, Commercial Property: Elsewhere in the North West, Sport, and Personal Injury: Claimant.
Amongst those teams, Jonathan Bridge, head of our Abuse and Inquests department, has been ranked as a leading has been ranked as a Leading Individual. Comments received included that Jonathan “has a specialist practice in claims involving child abuse and neglect – these are difficult claims and he is quite exceptional in running them and getting unbelievably good results.”
Debbie King (Corporate), Kieran O’Connor (Commercial Litigation), Daniel Draper (Sport), Nick Molyneux (Personal Injury), Ian Liddle (Commercial Property), Stephen Greenwood (Commercial Property), and Tom O’Neill (Commercial Property) have all been included as Recommended Lawyers.
Our Civil Liberties and Human Rights team have been ranked for the second time in tier 4 with Associate Partner Kelly Darlington receiving a Recommended Lawyer ranking. Finally, our Commercial Litigation: Manchester team have been ranked in tier 6 in this year’s rankings and Rebecca Fairclough has been ranked as a recommended lawyer. The team have been described as “Very responsive, sensitive and clear.”
