Lancashire photographer beats off rivals to scoop coveted award

Liz Henson Photography has won the Corporate Photographer of the Year (North West) award in the 6th annual UK Enterprise Awards hosted by SME News.

The multi-award winning B2B photographer, based in Bacup, Lancashire, specialises in 'shooting businesses into the spotlight' with creative, professionally captured photographs of people, products and places.

Liz is particularly well known for event photography, and has covered the Red Rose Awards in Lancashire as well as the Love Local Expo, the Rossendale Business Awards and more.

Commenting on this latest accolade, she said: "There are literally hundreds of freelance corporate photographers in the north west of England, and so to pick up this award against that backdrop of competition is a real honour.

"As a corporate photographer, I undertake a wide range of assignments. This includes everything from event photography, product photography for ecommerce websites and Amazon, corporate headshots, team photos and photos of workplaces and even visitor attractions.

"It's great to be recognised for this work, and the creativity and professionalism I'm able to bring to my clients, where the images I capture bring what they do to life in a way that you can't with just words alone."

Professional photographs make a big difference in the PR and marketing materials businesses use. Over 60% of people say they won't buy from websites with poor quality product images, and press releases with an accompanying relevant image are not only more likely to be selected for publication by journalists but will also garner more online views.

"Really good images reflect well on your business and brand, and help to convey the real you in a way that's not possible with stock photos. If they're done right, they can be very versatile too, and used creatively in all sorts of ways from printed literature, exhibition stands, websites, press releases and social media.
