Darren Jenkinson, co-founder of DigiEnable and CanDoLeads, is set to undertake an
extraordinary feat that has previously left online vloggers “broken” and
fitness gurus calling it one of the toughest challenges they’ve undertaken.
On
September 9th, Darren will be walking a massive 100,000 steps in a 24-hour
period to raise funds for Pendleside
Hospice.
This extreme charity walk is not only a personal challenge
but an opportunity to support the invaluable services provided by Pendleside
Hospice. The hospice plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to
individuals and their families during life-limiting illnesses, and Darren is
aiming to raise both awareness and crucial funds to support their work.
The challenge will commence at midnight in Chorley, and
Darren will take his first steps on a journey that will take him through the beautiful
landscapes of Burnley and Pendle Hill, finishing at Pendleside Hospice. The 100,000-step walk, equivalent to
approximately 50-52 miles, promises to be a physically and mentally demanding
trial. It is expected to take around 20 hours of walking to complete the
challenge.
"I am excited to be taking on this challenge to support
Pendleside Hospice," Darren expressed. "The services and support
offered by the hospice to their community is truly inspiring. This walk is my
way of thanking them for everything they do, and raising awareness that a great
deal of money is required every year for the hospice to simply exist"
Generous donations from supporters will play an essential
role in the success of this challenge. Those who wish to contribute and make a
