Kickstart to Apprenticeships.

By

Are you using the Kickstart Scheme?

Have you considered what options are available at the end of the 6 month placement that will benefit your company and your new employee?

Using the Kickstart Scheme is a fantastic way to offer a young person a start in employment. Apprenticeships provide the perfect progression route from this scheme as a way to retain and continue to grow talent in your company whist investing in your new employee.

How apprenticeships work

Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Apprentices are mostly work based, with some requiring time each week attending College to expand their knowledge and skills.

Funding for apprenticeships is available for all non-levy companies.

How Employers benefit

Hiring an apprentice is a way to develop a motivate, skilled and qualified workforce for the future as well as increase productivity and reduce staff turnover.

Apprenticeships are not only available for new staff - you can upskill your existing workforce too. Courses range from a level 2 all the way up to a level 7 Master's degree with courses for all industries.

A number of apprenticeships are run solely in the workplace.

How Apprentices benefit

Apprenticeships give the individual he best of both worlds: the chance to work towards a nationally recognised qualification and develop a career at the same time, without the student debt!

Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16.
