At BusinessGiftUK we were fans of the Lancashare local trading model from the outset. We are therefore delighted to have suppliers of locally manufactured and branded business gifts to the organisation. Lisa Edge, a director of Lancashare and CEO of GB Shared Ltd, has kindly collaborated on this analysis of our work together over the last three years. Here is the case study of how they have used promtional business gifts to recruit, retain and thank Lancashire businesses.
Why do you use branded promotional gifts?
Founder Lisa Edge says “When you're trying to market a whole
county, you need to make sure you reach the whole county. Branded products were
a great way to leave a piece of Lancashare across Lancashire!”
Lancashare have used locally manufactured, sourced and branded bottle opener key rings, notepads, pens, rulers, balloons, coasters, nail files, sticky-mates and stylus pens. "Business Gifts - The more we try, the more we love them”.
What was the business objective in using printed gifts?
“To raise brand awareness, reward our customers, to use at expos' and to leave an impression on people & businesses by leaving behind a nice reminder of us, long after we've left the room”
Lancashare were looking for ways of reminding the Lancashire business community to make the most of the online sharing community. They wanted something to make a great first impression and leave a long lasting reminder with contact details.
Did you meet your campaign objectives?
Lisa said “Totally achieved our objectives, because BusinessGiftUK are also great at advising on popular or discounted products. They ensure we get the best product for the best price and with the best return”.
How did you find working with BusinessGiftUK?
“We have a fabulous relationship with Steve and the whole team. Love working with them (notice I don't say 'using them as a supplier ), it's a relationship and one we value hugely!”
Do you see yourselves using more promotional merchandise in the future?
“Yes, we've no doubt we'll need more products every year, Lancashire is a huge county. The more we try, the more we love them!”
Is there any way that you think we could help you better?
“Not currently, always seems like a fresh offer to me and we've gone from collecting to having our goods delivered, you have a 'continuous improvement' approach and are really personable. Genuinely feels like a personal service when you deal with BusinessGiftUK”
Thank you for making such lovely comments Lisa and it has been a pleasure working with you. It is really satisfying to see such positive results having recommended products to do a job.
The Lancashare platform is full of local suppliers, jobs, training providers, tenders, events, awards, networking groups, news, offers, discounts, advice, information and funding from across the county. All pooled members, who believe in a better, stronger Lancashire!
