*Jennifer re-connects with her passion for Art as part of her recovery.
Jennifer moved in to Vincent House, Caritas Care’s long-established Homelessness Hostel in Blackpool, in October 2021 after finding herself without a place to stay and not in a good place with her mental health.
Jennifer has always had a love of Art and it is something that she was particularly good at from a young age. However, due to life events, she lost interest and was unable to concentrate on anything for long periods of time. Recently, and as part of her recovery, Jennifer picked up her sketchpad and pencil and the results have been amazing!
Jennifer said, “My mental health has improved greatly since moving into Vincent House 5 months ago and, for the first time in a very long time, I felt able to concentrate on drawing again. In fact, I’m thinking about possibly setting up a business doing pet portraits and other drawings on commission in the future.”
Karen Morton, Manager at Vincent House said, “We’ve been blown away with the talent Jennifer has for drawing. She has grown and developed since the first day we met her in October 2021 and we are so pleased that she has re-connected with her love of Art because she is a natural.”
Pictured is one of Jennifer’s masterpieces, Duke the French Bulldog.
Vincent House provides supported accommodation in private rooms for people who find themselves homeless and need some support to help them get their lives back on track and in a more positive place. Read more about Vincent House and the work they do on our website www.caritascare.org.uk
