Covid-19 has sadly meant that the annual HIVE Blackburn with Darwen Business Awards 2020 are postponed for a year but the team behind the awards have worked hard to still stage a virtual event that rewards the community with its brand new HIVE – IN IT TOGETHER RECOGNITION AWARDS 2020.
The new awards mean we can still shine a light on the Borough but HIVE are calling on you for your help with nominations which need to be placed before Friday, 23rd October 2020. The awards night will be online on Thursday, 26th November at 7pm.
Chairman of HIVE, Ian Brown said: “In these unprecedented times it has been heart-warming and humbling to see the communities of Blackburn with Darwen come together to support each other, our key workers and of course our NHS. Whilst is isn’t feasible to host our annual business awards we couldn’t let the opportunity pass to recognise those employees, teams, organisations and businesses that really have gone above and beyond in a time of national crisis.”
“The innovation, commitment, tenacity and dedication has been unwavering, and this is our chance to thank those unsung heroes as we launch the all knew HIVE – IN IT TOGETHER RECOGNITION AWARDS. But we need your support and nominations to help us to do this. ”
Do you know an employee who has gone out of their way to make a difference to others during lockdown? A fundraiser in the workplace who motivated spirits thanks to their support? A business that adapted to support the cause and our NHS? A workforce who worked tirelessly during the toughest of times to meet demand of critical supplies?
HIVE need to hear your stories and nominations which is easy to do by completing the short nomination page at awards.business-hive.co.uk
