Hi GB Shared!
This is a short and sweet news item, 1 because it's my first news post, 2 because I'm zipping off down the motorway very soon, and 3....IT'S NOT REALLY WORK RELATED :)
How do you spend you time at weekends? Do you manage to have downtime, or are you constantly trying to juggle work and family life? Finding it hard to switch off?
I can be like that, but am working hard on ensuring weekends are for me and my family now.
On Friday, I did just that, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, so I finally completed a charity skydive for the Suzy Orrsome Foundation, raising vital funds to bring essential cancer treatment to the Northwest.
The best bit (main reason I did it if I'm honest) is I got to skydive with my son, me in tandem and him solo.
We jumped out of the plane together, well him a second or 2 behind me and my instructor. Solo flyers fall faster than tandems, but my son is so skilled, he could hold back until I was level with him, and we actually held hands in the sky, in freefall!!
It's the most exhilarating experience I have ever had!
Now, if I was feeling overwhelmed with work and was poor at managing my time, I wouldn't have dreamt of doing that, but I was able to down tools at lunchtime and drive up to meet him at the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham.
If you would like help managing your time, so you can enjoy precious moments with your family at weekends, please get in touch with this slightly bonkers, skydiving, gravy wrestling (that's another story) Virtual Assistant and let's see what we can do for you.
