With the press release yesterday, it is now common knowledge that last week I became a proud owner and director at Fylde Coast Radio.

It seems only a few weeks ago I was delighted to be given the opportunity to join FCR as a presenter/DJ.

When I learned that the current owners were looking to sell, having done our APD BusinessMOT, it was too good an opportunity to miss.

So from Tuesday of this week, we have been busy re-strategising and producing a growth plan.

We have already had our first executive board meeting, with the plans to be shared with all interested parties next week.

It is a really exciting project - this year we are the selected radio station to cover the Blackpool Centenary Carnival and the Blackpool Illuminations, so the reach will be millions.

We also have sponsorship opportunities for the North Pier and Lowther Theatre brochures.

We have excellent opportunities for marketing for any Lancashare business.
