At Owl Tree Web Solutions, we understand that sometimes it can be difficult to decipher what tips and tricks are needed to ensure that your website will perform well.
In this article, we are going to be breaking it down and sharing four beneficial pointers to spot the signs of a good website.
Make Sure Your Website Is Compatible With All Devices
Firstly, is a vital thing to remember when building a website. Be sure to check that your website is compatible with as many devices as you can think of. The last thing you want is to lose a huge chunk of your audience if certain web pages aren’t loading or if a picture won’t appear.
Chrome, Firefox, and Safari are what most devices use as their main browser. To check if your website is compatible for most devices, use Chrome Device Toolbar and this will allow you to see what each page will look like on a mobile device. If you are unable to do this, you could always check on your mobile phone or ask a friend to check through their devices too!
Use High-Quality Titles and Alt Tags
When adding details like titles, Alt tags, and more, it is important to remember that your titles need to remain high-quality and be page specific. Stick with something clear, concise, and different from other companies that are similar to yours.
An Alt tag explains an image or a website in a short sentence. Don’t overload your Alt tag with irrelevant information as this can complicate the SEO value and contradict Google’s rules with website ranking.
Keep The Links To A Reasonable Level
To certify a positive user experience, it is important to limit your links to the most important keywords and if there is a product or service that you are promoting. Google recommends keeping the links on a specific page to a number that is suitable and won’t impact your audience’s experience negatively. The rule of thumb is to keep below an absolute maximum of 100 links per page, this rule has been circling the web design industry for years and has always had a positive response.
Keywords Are Vital!
Lastly, it’s a priority to add relevant keywords to your text. This will bring in an organic audience, and Google can help boost your website to appear in more searches. For example, if you run a dog grooming service, you would look at adding the following keywords within the text on your website: dog grooming service, calming, and relaxing experience, affordable, reliable, high-quality services, trusted by our customers, and the list goes on. This will allow Google to detect your website and help boost it when a new visitor is looking for your website. SEO is vital if you want to get your company out into the world.
