LancsLive have compiled a list of the 25 most inspirational women in Lancashire right now and Elektec's co-owner, Charlotte Knowles, has been chosen as one of them!
Lancslive stated "Charlotte Knowles and her husband, Carl Knowles run a commercial and industrial electrician company in Darwen. Having volunteered since the age of 18 and working as a social worker for 11 years, Charlotte joined the family business as a co-owner in 2019.
Her background in helping others has visibly shown itself through her work at Elektec, by offering free services to charity and to the community, giving free PAT testing to various places. This means that the electricians ensure appliances are in working order for different business and organisations, for free, so they can spend their money on the vital services they offer.
Charlotte's work also carries itself into the world of art, as she has selflessly given her free time to paint murals for children, notably in the children's ward of Royal Blackburn Hospital."
The entire Elektec team are extremely proud of Charlotte and send their congratulations to all of the inspirational women in our County.
Charlotte said: "I don’t view myself as inspirational. I am simply just my authentic self each day. My motto in life is 'do good and good will come to you'. I have always been passionate about trying to help others and make a positive difference – it’s in my DNA! Now that I have children, everything I do is for them. To make them happy and be the best role model I can."
