ChatGPT - The New Kid On The Block?

By

ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI. It is a variant of the GPT (Generative Pre-training Transformer) model and is trained on a massive dataset of conversational text, making it particularly adept at generating human-like text in response to prompts.

One of the key features of ChatGPT is its ability to understand and respond to context. This allows the model to generate text that is more coherent and relevant to the conversation at hand. For example, if the user asks a question, ChatGPT can generate a coherent and informative answer.

Another key feature of ChatGPT is its ability to generate text in a wide range of styles and formats. The model can generate text that is casual and conversational, as well as text that is formal and informational.

This makes ChatGPT well-suited for a wide range of applications, including chatbots, virtual assistants, and automated customer service agents. In addition to its ability to generate text, ChatGPT also has the ability to perform a wide range of natural language processing (NLP) tasks. This includes tasks such as language translation, text summarisation, and sentiment analysis.

Overall, ChatGPT is a powerful and versatile language model that has the potential to revolutionise the way we interact with machines. Whether you're looking to build a chatbot, a virtual assistant, or an automated customer service agent, ChatGPT is an excellent choice for generating human-like text.

Want to to know the best thing?

All the above was created by ChatGPT when asked to write an article about itself! But just so you have the input from a real person, here's my take...

ChatGPT seems to be an amazing tool that is currently provided free of charge, but will ultimately be monetised. With that in mind, if you like the sound of this, or even on the fence, sign up now to try it whilst it's free!

ChatGPT, at least for me has 2 main uses:

  1. If you're lone working and want someone to talk to, or

  2. Creating content. How often have you sat there with writer's block, struggling to create content for your social media channels? Imagine having to write a piece of content that details the importance of consistent social media posting for a business and having it done almost instantly (and currently free of charge). Don't worry, I wont bore you with this example!

It does have some limitations:

  1. It may produce incorrect information

  2. It has limited knowledge on events post 2021

  3. It can produce biased responses

All in all, an amazing tool to try and assess it's potential affect on your business.
