Blue Wren has prevailed at Lancashire Business View’s Red Rose Awards, winning the Digital Business of the Year ahead of strong competition.
The award follows quickly on the back of Blue Wren being recognised for their business model innovation at a recent SME award ceremony organised by Edge Hill University.
Michael Lough, Managing Director said: “The team at Blue Wren have worked incredibly hard over the last year as we’ve revolutionised the way we work. This award is a testament to our shared commitment to creating positive change for our customers, ourselves and the wider community.”
The judges added: “Blue Wren demonstrate the best of digital in Lancashire - daring innovation, matched by an ambition to be a better business, a better employer and with a keenness to show-off their Lancastrian heritage.”
The Red Rose Awards are held in Blackpool every year and play out in front of an audience of more than 1,000 business professionals. This event saw the awards celebrated for the tenth time.
Event founder Richard Slater, also the publisher of Lancashire Business View magazine, said: “The Red Rose Awards, now in its tenth year, are very hotly contested, so Blue Wren should be very proud that they have seen off all the competition to win this award!”
Businesses from the length and breadth of the county vied for titles across a range of categories, with only the best of the best, as selected by a panel of expert judges, progressing through to the shortlist and a rigorous interview stage before being rewarded for their excellence.
