The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to the September ‘Women Mean Business’ lunch.
There is a strong contingent of leading business women in many sectors across the UK, and this event will highlight, promote, support women at the top of their game.
Guests are invited to join us for this inspiring event featuring a panel of outstanding business women from across the UK, starting right here in Lancashire.
The Chamber invites you to the next ‘Women Mean Business’ lunch on Friday 27th September. Guests will enjoy a two-course lunch from the Wrightington Hotel and three outstanding speakers!
Guests will be joined by Seema Kennedy, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Office and MP for South Ribble. In 2017 Seema became the first ever Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to a Conservative Prime Minister, Theresa May.
Joining Seema as a guest speaker will be Kim Hawes, the first ever female tour manager in the UK or USA. Kim has worked alongside some of the biggest acts in the world including The Rolling Stones, Motorhead and Black Sabbath during her 30-year career, which began in Preston. Kim will give a fascinating insight into ‘life on the road’ and the her soon to be published book, ‘Confessions of Female Tour Manager’.
The event will be opened by Debbie Williams, Head of UCLan Publishing. Debbie joined UCLan after many years in the literary industry. Before joining the University she was the Children’s book buyer for Waterstones where she coordinated the buying, event and project management of many important books, including Harry Potter. Debbie established the world’s first and only student-led, publishing house, UCLan Publishing.
