Caritas Care
Aaron and Matt have adopted two little boys. They brought their first little boy home with them in December 2018 at the age of 9 months and subsequently adopted him in August 2019. In January 2020 they returned to Caritas Care to be assessed for a second time. They brought their second little boy home in November 2020 at the age of 10 months and adopted him in May 2021. They boys are not related by birth.
Aaron and Matt are pleased to come along to the June ‘An Audience with an Adopter’ event to talk to you about their experiences. They will be available to answer your questions about their experiences before, during and after the adoption process and the support they received both pre and post placement of their sons.
Prior to embarking on their adoption journey, Aaron and Matt undertook a lot of research into adoption and so had a good idea of what was involved. They were aware that there can be prejudice and discrimination against same sex couples adopting children. They have had a positive experience and wish to share this with other couples wishing to build a family through adoption, just as they have.
We are looking for families to provide children with loving and stable homes. It is the stability of your relationship that matter, not your sexual orientation.
In England in 2020, 1 in 6 adoptions were to same sex couples.
If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or non-binary and have been considering adoption, don’t miss out on this event! Please don’t rule yourself out…you CAN adopt!
