North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce
Lancashire has been chosen as one of only five areas in the UK to launch a highly anticipated report on the Local Economy of the Future.
Time:
09:30 - 11:00
Venue
The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to invite businesses to an event which will unveil the ground-breaking report. Our special guest speakers include Baroness Martha Lane Fox, President of the British Chambers of Commerce and Executive Chairman of Booths, Edwin Booth.
The report, compiled by the British Chambers of Commerce, will be presented to political parties ahead of the General Election, as the business community’s’ ‘manifesto’.
The event takes place at Thwaites in Samlesbury, on the 20th February, where we will launch the report which tackles the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the business community, regionally, and nationally.
We all know that businesses are the lifeblood of the British economy, and their impact reaches far beyond the national level. That’s why local economic development is crucial for a thriving society, and businesses play an integral role in its success. This report dives deep into the challenges and opportunities facing our communities, exploring crucial topics, like place and space, people & local voice, and funding & taxation.
During the event, the BCC will present the findings and recommendations of the report and will be available to answer any questions from the audience.
