Lean into Industry 4.0 – Practical Masterclass
Lean into Industry 4.0 is a practical, hands‑on masterclass focused on identifying waste, removing non‑value‑added activity, and improving processes using Lean thinking, proven improvement tools and modern technology.

This session connects the fundamentals of Lean, including the nine wastes and standard improvement tools with Industry 4.0 approaches such as data, digital tools, AI, IoT and automation. Not as theory, but as practical enablers that help make waste visible, measurable and easier to remove. It’s not PowerPoint‑heavy. The day is interactive, discussion‑led and practical, built around real challenges participants bring into the room. Through small‑group breakout sessions and peer learning, you’ll work through real examples, explore where waste exists, and identify realistic ways to tackle it.

Who this session is for

  • - Operations managers and leaders
  • - Continuous improvement and Lean practitioners
  • - Manufacturing and operational leaders
  • - Business owners and decision‑makers responsible for performance, productivity and efficiency
  • - Anyone curious about how Industry 4.0 can support improvement, not complicate it

You don’t need to be an Industry 4.0 specialist. This session is about practical application, not technical deep dives.

Why attend
Many organisations are already implementing some Lean practices and many are already investing in digital tools but the two aren’t always connected.
This session helps you:
  • * Understand where Lean comes first and where digital tools genuinely add value
  • * Avoid investing in technology that doesn’t solve the real problem
  • * See how Industry 4.0 strengthens Lean by making waste, variation and issues easier to see
  • * Learn from peers facing similar challenges

By the end of the day, you will:
  • - Have a clearer understanding of where waste sits in your processes
  • - Know how Lean and Industry 4.0 work together, not in isolation
  • - Identify practical improvement opportunities you can act on immediately
  • - Leave with clear actions and ideas to take back into your business
  • - Build insight through discussion and peer learning, not theory
