Staff turnover is always a concern for HR but in 2017 lowering attrition is reported to be one of the top priorities for most HR teams. It is for this reason that our key topic for this HR Forum will be “Staff Development” which compliments our last HR Forum topic “Employee Engagement”. Both of which help to provide “buy-in” from your workforce and less likely to look elsewhere for work.
This Forum will be hosted by Chamber member Derby Arms Restaurant in Longridge who will provide a nice light breakfast and refreshments for delegates on the forum.
Gain valuable information about the ever-changing HR legislation and policies of best practice and what they mean to your organisation in practical terms while connecting with other Managers, Business Owners, and HR Professionals.
Michele Piertney from ACAS will be on-hand to discuss best practice. We will also feature legal and HR experts from Harrison Drury Solicitors to offer practical best-practice methods for incorporating, maintaining, or improving a system of staff development. We are also pleased to introduce Louisa Scanlan, an HR Professional with global expertise and experience to share solutions and cautionary tales regarding staff development approaches.
We will have a Q and A panel at the end of the speaking sessions along with one-to-ones for interaction with other HR professionals and Managers.
This forum and network is always open to HR professionals, business owners, managers or anyone with a responsibility for any aspect of HR in your business. We will provide a lighter breakfast and refreshments and there will be networking opportunities before and after the presentations.
Event Agenda:
•8:30-9:00 – HR Professionals Networking and Breakfast
