Last week saw the biggest ransomware attack in history, targeting more than 100 countries and thousands of businesses.  The damage is estimated to reach tens of millions of pounds.

The UK IT Technician, credited with halting this recent spate of cyberattacks has stated that it is very likely to happen again and we must be prepared.

Your Chamber of Commerce wants to ensure that your business is protected as much as possible and is staging a knowledge sharing event on Friday June 2nd.

We’ll be covering the burning questions and providing information to help protect your business against attacks and advising what you can do if you’re unfortunate enough to be target.
What is ransomware and is it the only threat to you?
Where did ransomware originate and who is attacking your organisation?
How does it affect your computers, your data and your productivity?
How can you protect yourself and your organisation
How much are victims expected to pay and should you?
In this ‘Really Useful 60 Minutes’, will be joined by a representative from Lancashire Constabulary’s Cybercrime Unit and Graham Billsborough, MD of GB3, a technology solutions and cyber security company which will provide you with free and invaluable advice in how to protect yourself from future attacks.  GB3 will explain why the first 60 minutes following an attack are the most critical.

This event takes place at the Chamber’s Fylde Coast office, 1-2 Lockheed Court, Amy Johnson Way, Blackpool, FY4 2RN.
