Explore the Internet of Things; its impact on health and wellbeing in Lancashire, and how we can ensure it is safe, secure and trusted.

The interactions between ourselves, the places we live and the services we depend on, in particular our health services, are becoming increasingly automated. The complexity of these changes mean the design of our connected futures is often the domain of a select few. For our future places to be healthy, liveable and enjoyable for all; and for applications of connected technology to be ethical, secure and trusted, it is imperative that we reach across the digital divide and consider the futures from multiple perspectives. This event will explore how we ensure innovative and secure collaboration at these cross sections.

This panel discussion and networking event will consider how Internet of Things (IoT) design and deployment can be done in a way which results in:

  • Trusting relationships between public, local authorities and private sector providers
  • Secure processes and services
  • Safe working cultures
  • Resilient communities
