North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce
Commonwealth Connect
Join Her Majesty the Queen’s representative in Lancashire, The Rt Hon. The Lord Shuttleworth KG, KCVO, as he welcomes representatives from across the Commonwealth to Preston.
You are invited to join us at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) for the ‘Commonwealth Connect’ event.
Lord Shuttleworth said: ‘Lancashire is delighted to host the Commonwealth Connect business celebration. The event will provide a great platform on which Commonwealth countries can showcase trade and relationship opportunities. Commonwealth countries can do more to expand trade links with the UK – there is a competitive advantage in member states trading, let’s take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to each other and highlight the valuable opportunities that our respective nations offer”.
This important, business-focused celebration, is being hosted by North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to promote the opportunities mutual trading with Commonwealth territories brings.
The event will begin with breakfast followed by an official welcome from the Lord Lieutenant and representatives from overseas.
Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the Trade Exhibition – featuring business specialists from Commonwealth nations.
