NWL Chamber of Commerce
Help for Brexit is a service run by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce aimed at helping businesses prepare for the UK’s departure from the EU on 31 October.
The service provides free-to-attend
seminars, workshops and webinars, as well as expert information and access to
specialist advisers.
The Help for Brexit service covers areas such as cross border regulations,
people, skills, tax, insurance, accounting and finance.
The first event of the Chamber's Help for Brexit programme of activities are workshops to help businesses plan for any operational changes they need to implement in the event of a no deal Brexit.
Scenario planning disciplines are aimed to identify drivers of change (tarrifs, logistical delays, scarcity of supply, scarcity of labour, data transfer issues etc.) and providing management teams with a series of actions (registrations, certification, processes, system upgrades, skills, recruitment and the like) to implement.
The benefits of attending:
1) Management to have critically examined the threats posed by Brexit
2) Management to be ‘on its toes’, in recognising the significance of Brexit issues
3) Identify likely scenarios of impact (which for many will be occasioned in a no-deal Brexit)
4) Identify options for the client, in the light of relevant scenarios
5) Research and identification of key drivers of change
6) Plan to address issues
7) Ability to demonstrate to key customers and suppliers that the client has conducted ‘Brexit readiness’ planning to mitigate threats to supply and trading, going forward
If you would like to book onto a Help for Brexit Scenario Planning workshop, please email your company name, all attending delegates and which of the 2 events you'd like to book to *email removed*
