A NEW businesswomen’s networking group is being started in Kendal and is holding a free launch meeting online.
The first meeting of the Kendal Unique Ladies’ group is being held via Zoom on Friday, May 1 at 2pm because of the coronavirus lockdown.
It is part of a large regional network of businesswomen’s groups which have monthly meetings which allow them to get to know like-minded women, pass business and listen to inspirational speakers.
Unique Ladies was started by businesswoman Suzy Orr in 2015. Fed up with networking groups which demanded large membership fees, she decided to create a pay-as-you-go network which offered an informal and effective way for businesswomen to get together.
The formula worked and now there are Unique Ladies’ groups across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire and now in Cumbria.
The new group will be run by Tracy Boylin, CEO of Organisational and People Genetics Ltd which works with businesses in transforming their organisational cultures.
“I’m delighted that we’re able to have a Unique Ladies’ group in Kendal,” stated Tracy. “We have many interesting and inspirational speakers planned for our meetings and there is plenty of business passed at our groups.”
Meetings normally cost £20 but, because they are currently online, they are being offered free to businesswomen around Kendal and beyond.
“I would love to hear from local businesswomen in all sectors,” added Tracy. “We know that our formula works and offers really enjoyable meetings and the chance to make valuable contacts.”
