Spring News What's The Team Been Doing?

What has been happening behind closed doors of St John‘s Staff Hire recently, you might ask?

The team have been working hard in the office to keep all day to day operations running smoothly, whilst also pursuing new opportunities for the people on our books. We have been researching ways to grow and explored industries that we can expand into. We have been really stretching ourselves, to see how far St John’s Staff Hire can go as we begin to usher in the new tourist season in the Lake District.

We are making strides in new counties, opening doors for our ever-growing team, and enabling a host of new workers to enjoy flexible hours in the North West, be it part-time, full-time, or ad-hoc, top-up hours to fit around their existing commitments.

We aim to provide good jobs for good people, conscientiously building new and existing relationships alike. Our network is growing, and we are better placed than ever before to find high calibre candidates for businesses all over the North West, and beyond!

In order to widen our horizons and cast our nets further afield, we have developed and utilised new systems in our office, in order to better track and support all new applicants during their journey with St John’s Staff Hire. We have a new Applicant Tracking System that helps to automatically filter candidates based on their skills, which works a treat once the careers team has helped new candidates brush up their CVs! The new system is a great platform, enabling us to do our own housekeeping with greater confidence (great for logging Right to Work Status, storing signed Agency Worker Contracts, New Starter Forms etc.), freeing our time up to do the real work, of matching good people to good jobs!

We have found that using this platform has helped to ensure we are GDPR compliant, because it is of vital importance to us that our candidates trust us with their data!

Does your workplace use an automatic, all-in-one applicant tracking system with HR elements? We want to know what you are using!

A recently launched online tool that integrates with our system, which we are very proud of, is the St John's Staff Hire | Career Page! All current and available roles are listed on the site, in addition to Indeed and Google jobs etc.

Our database is updated on a daily basis. so keep your eyes peeled incase something that suits you crops up! If there are no jobs that stands out to you, but you see something that might suit a friend or family member, you can refer them and we offer generous cash rewards for referrals! Also, we still advise you to contact our careers team, as we may have info about upcoming roles that will suit you better, or be able to get you an introduction to a client that we think would be a good cultural match for you!

Our hourly temps rate of pay has also made a jump upwards to £12.50 for anyone age 18 or above. Would you like to earn £100 for an 8 hour shift? Contact the team to get started today. We always have plenty of work available!

One of the main projects that the office team have been working on over the past 3 months is advancing the growth of our Social Media pages. We have posted on a regular basis, trying to target posts to a relevant groups of people, and ensure that local businesses know that we are here and able to help support them this coming season with dynamic, hard-working and cheery temps. Our Facebook page ( St John's Staff Hire | Facebook ) has been gaining traction and we would like to thank all of our new followers for their kind words! Our most recent social media push is the weekly round-up, where we feature all of our best new roles! We have created a group affiliated with our page, which now boasts 2.4k members!!! Lastly, none of the above could have been achieved without the help of our lovely office pupper, who is now not so much a pupper: Buster! Keep an eye out for more photos and videos – we are all besotted with him.
