It’s been announced that passport office workers are set to strike for five weeks between 3 April and 5 May and if it takes place it is expected there will be significant impact on the delivery of new passports as summer holidays approach

More than one million passport applications could be stuck in a bottleneck when HM Passport Office staff strike for five weeks from the start of April.

So now's the time to check the date on your passports … it needs to be valid for 10 years from THE ISSUE DATE (not expiry) and have 6 months still left on it for entry into some countries. Be prepared.
