Leading law firm Napthens has launched a new HR service, that will seamlessly integrate the Napthens team into employee relations processes and enable outsourcing of case work.
The People Portal, created and developed over the last 12 months, is a unique online service that facilitates better collaboration between clients and the Napthens’ employment team. It provides direct access to its experts, a range of tools and resources that are essential for people management and seamless file sharing between Napthens and clients. Currently, the portal offers two modules with a further two to be added in the coming months.
The first HR module is a knowledge and admin module, that gives HR teams access to a suite of templates, precedents and guidance notes on recent updates, as well as added value content such as videos, podcasts and Q&A sessions, allowing businesses to easily stay up to date with changes and ensure they’re always following best practice.
Also available is the health & safety (H&S) module. This allows Napthens H&S team to integrate seamlessly with clients. The team is able to complete risk assessments and site inspections, then upload them directly to the portal while on site, as well as assigning ongoing tasks to clients to ensure they continue to follow H&S best practice.
Napthens will be adding two additional modules, an employee relations module and a sickness/absence module which employees can access, giving businesses one central HR hub shared with their legal counsel. This will allow the Napthens team to quickly familiarise themselves with employee relations cases and provide insight and advice. Across every module Napthens and clients will be able to assign actions to ensure cases progress correctly and in a timely manner.
The portal also offers an ‘Ask the team’ section where users can directly liaise with Napthens’ HR, employment and health and safety experts to support with navigating ongoing changes and answering specific queries.
Chris Boyle, partner and head of employment at Napthens, explains: “We pride ourselves on having strong relationships with every client and understanding their needs, and it became clear that a service that allows the businesses we work with to get immediate advice, outsource case work to us and share access to internal documents would alleviate many pain points.
“We’ve already received plenty of positive feedback from clients about the People Portal and moving forward we’ll continue to listen to and work with them to develop ways of working that will best suit their needs – we look forward to launching the employee relations and sickness absence modules soon.”
