A huge thank you to everyone who came along to The Villa at Levens last week for our 1st Birthday Get Together.
Our base for the day was the Brettagh Suite with exhibitors Lake District Foundation, Mellor Architects, Park House Barn, Trybooking, Felltarn and Lake District Radio.
We started things off (once the 4Networking meeting had finished!!!) with a talk from Pauline Sanderson from Lake District Foundation who discussed how the LDF can help businesses become more sustainable and aware of their environmental responsibilities, she then touched on some of the projects that they are supporting in 2020.
We then moved across the reception to The Orangery where Linda Stott was waiting for us and she gave us an insight on how we can best prepare ourselves for business, and to make sure our business is right for us. After a quick coffee break we moved back to The Snug and joined Abigail O'Brien and Pam Brown from Rachael Bell Wealth Management who talked about the importance of financial planning in the workplace, not just as a business but also for individuals.
The final talk was from Nicola MacPhail from Gen-i. Nicola launched a new program that she has developed to help filter out things that you, as an individual don't need interfering with you in the workplace. The talk was called How business owners and their teams can identify not just WHAT needs to change, but HOW to change it.
We then headed back to The Brettagh Suite for a fabulous Cumbrian lunch and wrapped things up with a talk from Emma Cross from Teenage Cancer Trust and a quick raffle with prizes from Felltarn, The Villa, The Castle Green Hotel and Wolftown Gin.
All in all a very enjoyable day with lots of talking, listening and sharing. We pride ourselves on bringing people and businesses together and this is exactly what we did last week.
Plans are in place as to how Cumbriashare, and the sister platforms of Lancashare and Mancheshare, will grow throughout 2020 and beyond and we look forward to delivering for you.
