Today is National Cut Your Energy Costs Day - a day celebrated the world over just like Christmas or even a ten-year-old's birthday! Doubtlessly you'll already have this day highlighted in your new diary and will be looking forward to eating the party food throughout the weekend!

Jokes aside, this is the time of year where most of us take a look at our bills to see how much we are spending and what we can do about it - presumably spurred on by an overspend at Christmas and a long wait until the end of January before that next paycheque lands in our accounts.
